|  disposed | May 5, 6:55pm | Loving IV at the minute - it's not the revolution in gaming that some previews and reviews have claimed, more of a tweaking and refinement of the series. I've been playing it for just over a week, and have yet to complete the story - mainly because I like faffing around, exploring the city and hunting for the best cars. And of course the popular sport of Ultraviolence and Mayhem followed by escaping alive from as high a wanted level as possible.
Roaring through the streets of sun-dappled Algonquin in a Comet listening to JNR, whilst being pursued by a Blues Brothers-scale army of police cars, reminds me why I love the GTA series.
[The flight school thread in SA was worth doing to get the jet, and Mike Toreno was a fun character. My only hate was for that damned Zero mission with the RC plane; I've not experienced gamerage to that extent since Rainbow Islands on the Amiga]. |
