If you liked FFX, I highly recommend FFX-2. And FFVIII.

Isn't FF7 widely regarded as the best of the series? I could never get into them myself, I don't like the stopping every couple of minutes when some monsters decide to materialise to fight you.

Generally yes. The 'junction system' in FF8 is considered to be too weird and complicated. Personally I think FF8 is at least as good as FF7, but FF7 is definitely one of teh best as well. I thought FF9 is the only weak one.

D&D RPGs are great also. I can't get enough of them.

Anyone heard of Vagrant Story? It's one of my personal favs, but I have to admit the extrenously long & complex battles might not be liked by some.

Oooh, long and complicated battles? That means there must be long and complicated battle strategies. I like the sound of that. I'll look into that game.

It's a rare one Vagrant Story, like some of the ealier Suikoden games. All of them great, and also underated (or ignored).

I am Morrowind's bitch.

Morrowind nearly swallowed me, too, but luckily I play the Xbox version and managed to severely damage the CRT on my TV. Thus, everything is a BIT darker. As such, I can't really play Morrowind for the moment as any caves or poorly lit buildings have become death traps for me.

...If-if anyone can tell me where to get a good ring of night vision, I'll be eternally grateful...

I have a ring of darkvision a la the Underdark but that's more infrared than anything so it's not much use for watching telly.

Morrowind, can I get a recommendation on this? I still haven't found anything to replace the gaping hole left in my life after finishing Baldur's Gate. Neverwinter Nights is buggy on my LAN, Icewind Dale didn't really engage me much, and the Temple of Elemental Evil looks and sounds fantastic but the story is rediculous. If Morrowind is a good RPG I might pick it up.
